Swapping Carbs for Cauliflower

It seems as if cauliflower is everywhere these days! It’s popping up on menus and recipe boards as the new substitute for anything from meat to grains. So, what is the big deal with this superfood? Is it worth the hype? We’ve come up with a few different swaps you might want to try out in your recipes!

Potatoes

Are mashed potatoes your weakness? Same here. Try swapping out your potatoes for mashed cauliflower and find yourself still indulging with fewer carbs. Even substituting in your favorite potato based soup can work and taste equally delicious. 

Rice 

While rice is not always the biggest carb culprit on your plate, it wouldn’t hurt to make a switch and add another veggie to your plate. Riced cauliflower is so versatile that the swap could go unnoticed, while still feeling like you’re enjoying a unique and authentic meal. Chicken

OK, not a carb. But, it’s a great time to switch it up and try cauliflower!
