The Perfect Sides to Bring to Your Friendsgiving
Thanksgiving was made for 2 things: feeling grateful for the people who provide love and support and absolutely stuffing your face.
In recent years, “Friendsgiving” has become yet another way to celebrate our gratefulness, but mostly to have two rounds of Thanksgiving favorites. Although it started as a trend, it has become almost a permanently sanctioned holiday for us, and is even recognized in Merriam Webster’s dictionary. Nonetheless, Friendsgiving is a way to celebrate with your best pals and enjoy even more mashed potatoes.
What are you bringing to the table?
Mac & Cheese
Is Mac & Cheese a normal staple at your Thanksgiving table? Is it a side you skip because it’s too mushy or not cheesy enough? You can do better. Give a twist on the classic by adding bacon, chicken, and maybe some vegetables. Or, maybe introduce a Mac & Cheese Bar and provide the foundation with other sides of fun toppings for your friends.
Not going to lie, Brussel Sprouts did not make the best first impression. But, fortunately we have warmed up to them by adding bacon or balsamic, and really anything else to spice up the once-boring green veggie. It’ll give you a chance to turn your anti-veggie friends into Brussel Sprout connoisseurs.
Ahhh stuffing. When it’s good it’s GREAT, but when it’s bad you might as well just skip it and make more room for the other sides. It all comes down to the bread. While stale bread might not be the best for everyday eating, it’s perfect for stuffing! Having that stale, dry bread keeps your stuffing from becoming soggy bread soup.
